After fight in school, Class XI student goes missing

A Class XI student of SSD Public High School went missing after he left the school for his home. His school bag has been recovered from the railway ground.

His family members have lodged a complaint with the police, sensing kidnapping of their son.

The student has been identified as Nanak Pal Singh (15), son of Ranjit Singh, a resident of street number 22, Partap Nagar.

Nanakpal Singh had a fight with his classmate over some issue on Wednesday. Seeing the issue intensifying, school principal Sharda Bansal had informed the police about it.

After resolving the matter, Nanakpal Singh was sent back to his house by the police.

Later, when Nanakpal Singh did not reach his house till late, his family members started searching for him. They informed the Canal Colony police station regarding him.

In the evening, around 7 pm, Nanakpal’s school bag was recovered from the railway ground, which his school mates brought to his parents. However, there was no trace of the student.

Nanakpal had a fight with a student in the school and other boys were also involved in it. The school management informed the police and his father about the incident.

After the matter was resolved, Nanak was sent home, but nobody knows where he had gone afterwards.

On the complaint of Manpreet Kaur, mother of Nanakpal Singh, the police have registered a case against unidentified persons and have started searching for the student.

It is learnt that Nanakpal had told his friends that he was going to Amritsar. The police are working on various angles in the case.
