Two days after a six-year-old child disappeared under mysterious circumstances on the way home while returning from his school at Arianwala village in Faridkot. The police had registered a case of kidnapping against two unknown bikers. The child was recovered from Doad village in the district on Friday.

The police are maintaining silence on the identity of the accused and the recovery of the child from Doad village where a parental aunt of the child lives.

It was alleged that the boy, Happy, son of a daily wager and Class II student of government primary school in the village, was returning home from the school when two persons on a motorcycle had offered him lift. Once the boy agreed, they took him to an unknown place on Wednesday.

The police claimed that as they were investigating the matter using CCTV cameras footage, installed near the incident spot and on the way the accused had fled, so it mounted pressure on the accused and they dropped the boy at Doad village where the child was recovered weeping.

“We are trying to identify the accused and the sequence of whole incident will be disclosed once the accused are in police net,” said police officials.
