The three-day district-level games kicked off amid emphatic performances by athletes from across the district here at the Multipurpose Stadium on Saturday.

In the 400m race (boys), Rajanpreet Singh of Ghudda secured the first position, Mehakdeep Singh from Bhai Rupa came second and Pavneet Singh from Bathinda city managed to secure the third place.

In the 100m sprint (girls), Ritisha from Ghudda came first, Jyoti from Bathinda second and Ramandeep Kaur from Bhai Rupa village third.

In the 3000m race (girls), Mandeep Kaur from Bhai Rupa came first, Lovepreet Kaur from Talwandi Sabo second and Jyoti Kaur from Phul third.

In the 1000m quad skating (boys), Sahil Gandhi secured the first place and Raj Kumar second. In the inline skating event, Karan Sharma won the first position, Nikhil second and Amit Kumar third.

Highlights of the day

  • In the 100m sprint (girls), Ritisha from Ghudda came first, Jyoti from Bathinda second and Ramandeep Kaur from Bhai Rupa village third.
