269 aspirants selected on Day 4

BATHINDA: To get jobs in 28 companies, as many as 1,640 job aspirants participated in the job fair on its fourth day at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) on Saturday.

To get jobs in 28 companies, as many as 1,640 job aspirants participated in the job fair on its fourth day at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) on Saturday.

Finance Minister Manpreet Badal also visited the fair and gave away appointment letters to the selected candidates. The Finance Minister in his speech exhorted the job applicants to focus on getting experience instead of salaries at the start of their career.

He said after acquiring the ample experience with sheer hard work and dedication, they could switch to jobs with better pay packages in future.

Of the total 1,640 applicants who appeared for interviews, a total of 269 candidates were selected while 391 were short listed on Saturday. A total of 30 companies are offering 1,530 jobs. The fair will conclude on November 19.
