11 cases registered under Excise Act in 2 days

The Bathinda police have registered 11 cases under the Excise Act and recovered illicit liquor during the past 48 hours.

In the first case, the Civil Lines police have arrested Amarjeet Singh, a resident of Parjapar Colony, Bathinda, with nine bottles of illicit liquor.

The Dialpura police have booked Gurveer Singh and Gurmeet Kaur, both residents of Gumti Kalan, and recovered 60 litres of ‘lahan’ from their possession.

The Phul police have booked Pargat Singh for carrying 12 bottles of illicit liquor.

The Kotfatta police have recovered 20 bottles of illicit liquor from Avtar Singh, a resident of Kotshamir village.

The Talwandi Sabo police have booked Gursewak Singh and recovered 60 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession. In another case, the Rama police have recovered 46 bottles of illicit liquor from Lovepreet Singh, a resident of Bangi Nihal Singh Wala village, and Babby, a resident of Bangi Ruggu village.

The Sangat police have arrested two persons with 24 bottles of illicit liquor from Chak Rulldu Singh Wala village.

The accused have been identified as Gujant Singh and Manpreet Singh, both residents of Bukianwali village. The police have also impounded a Platina motorcycle without number.

The Nehianwala police have booked Deep Singh, a resident of Nehianwala, and recovered 12 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession.

The Dialpura police have arrested Jagga Singh, a resident of Dialpur Mirja village, with nine bottles of illicit liquor from Gumatti Kalan village.

The Rama police have arrested Manjeet Singh, a resident of Kamallu village, with 24 bottles of illicit liquor.

The police have also recovered 15 litres of ‘lahan’ and three bottles of illicit liquor Sukhmandhar Singh, a resident of Bangi Ruggu village.
