Prof Ashok Dhawan, Dean, Students’ Welfare, welcomed the speaker.

Prof Kapoor dwelt on Vivekananda’s biography and explained his teachings.

The speaker said Vivekananda’s teachings served as a connecting medium between the ancient and modern. They played a great role in connecting the East with the West, he added.

Prof Kapoor said Vivekananda taught the ‘Vedanta’ philosophy to the West.

He said, “All human beings are the part of the universal consciousness and all souls are great. The only need is self-realisation.”
