Young Punjabi singer Sid Bhullar feels that millennial music is all about shedding social layers and saying what’s on your mind. The singer-rapper, who has just released his single Highway that has instantly got over a million hits, says that music too is adapting to the changing world.

“Today, the digital media is able to connect listeners across the world to all kinds of music from all corners of the world. It is an amazing opportunity for young artistes like us,” he said. In 2012, Bhullar released his first single, ‘Won’t Stop’ to raise awareness towards strong topics like Anti-bullying and supporting one another through hardships. He was then featured on several radio and television talk shows for discussing less heard topics of that time, in his music. Since then, he has released several music videos and recorded over 30 singles. He will be releasing his official, debut album later in 2019.

Currently, he is attending medical school in Ireland, to fulfill his other dream of becoming a medical doctor. When asked about these conflicting ideas of becoming a rap artist, but also a medical profession, Sid quoted, “Education is very important. I want to pay attention to my education, alongside my passion. Once I have my degree, I want to focus my entire energy towards bringing awareness of important topics in our global community, through my passion of writing lyrics and rapping.” — TNS
