Amritsar, June 17

The Beas police have booked a woman travel agent for fraud and human trafficking.

The accused has been identified as Ranjit Kaur of Baba Sawan Singh Nagar, Beas. She runs a travel agency — Ranjit Immigration and Consultant Private Limited.

Victims Baljinder Singh and Gurwinder Singh, both residents of Udho Nangal village, stated to the police that they had approached the accused who assured them jobs in Malaysia. She alleged she took Rs 95,000 from each of them.
