A 30-year-old woman, Rajwinder Kaur, committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at Tangra here on Friday. The police have booked her in-laws for abetment of suicide.

The accused have been identified as her husband Malook Singh, father-in-law Kashmir Singh and mother-in-law Darshan Kaur, residents of Patti Bagh in Tangra.

Deceased’s brother Gopal Singh of Bundala stated to the police that Rajwinder was married to Malook in December 2015. He alleged that the accused used to harass her for bringing “insufficient” dowry.
