Two caught for forgery

AMRITSAR: Immigration authorities at Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport have nabbed two persons for allegedly possessing fake visas. They had come from Malaysia in a Malindo Air flight.

Immigration authorities at Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport have nabbed two persons for allegedly possessing fake visas. They had come from Malaysia in a Malindo Air flight.

Those arrested were identified at Kuldeep Singh of Ahmadpur village in Kaithal, Haryana, and Nimral Singh of Khuda Pando village, Moga. They were later handed over to Airport police station where a case under Section 420 of the IPC was registered against them.

Immigration Officer Sanjiv Walia stated to the police that the duo had come from Malaysia to Amritsar and their visa stamps were found to be fake.

Sub-Inspector Bhupinder Singh, investigating officer, said further investigation was under way. “We are investigating from the accused about the persons or travel agents who provided them visa for visiting Malaysia,” he added.
