A joint delegation of the Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal (PPBM) and Amritsar Distributors Association (ADA) met Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal and urged him to review their demands. PPBM president PL Seth said Badal assured them that their demands would be used to formulate the new industrial policy.

He sought enhancement of fund allocation for the industry to Rs 1,000 crore in the state budget and demanded social security for the entrepreneurs on the basis of VAT and income tax paid by them during their career. They should get pension after 60 years of age, he said.
