The police have arrested three youths with intoxicating powder.
Vikramjit Singh, in-charge of Talwara police station, said a naka was laid near the Kandi Canal on the Talwara-Mukerian road here by the police.
During the naka, a car, which was coming from the opposite direction, was signalled to halt but the three occupants of the vehicle tried to flee the spot.
However, the police arrested them after a chase. During their search, 25 gm of intoxicating powder was recovered from one of the suspects, Sahil Kairon, a resident of Sector 5, and 35 gm each of intoxicating powder was recovered from the other two suspects.
The other youths were identified as Shahjad, a resident of Sector 3, and Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Sector 3.
They have been arrested and an FIR has been registered against them under the (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) NDPS Act.
