Amritsar, October 11

The Tourism Authority of Thailand will launch their budget Thai Smile from several destinations in India to Bangkok during this year. The marketing officer and Secretary, India, Bangladesh and Nepal, Shangreiso Shimray today declared that the Thai Smile will introduce regular weekly fights from Varanasi and Jaipur during the next month, whereas from Amritsar the filghts would take off from March.

Shimray said Thailand was a great tourist centre with a rich heritage and cultural traditions. It was a favourite destination for Indian tourists. The Thai Tourism Authority had made a thorough study and saw the great tourist potential from Thailand to India, to and fro.

“Bangkok caters to all kinds of tourists, including high-end travellers, besides the budget and family groups. Thailand is an excellent destination as a wedding venue on the mainland and on their several beach resorts and provides top of the shelf facilities to meet their needs,” he said. Thai Tourism is hosting an international cultural festival from November 14 to 25 next year and expects a huge influx of tourists from across the world. — TNS
