Swasth Bharat Tandrust Punjab Yatra will enter holy city on December 6 and leave from here for Tarn Taran on December 8. Deputy Commissioner Kamaldeep Singh Sangha conducted a meeting to take stock of the preparations being made for the event aimed at creating awareness about food safety.

Speaking on the occasion, Sangha said the yatra had entered Punjab on December 2. He said: “The purpose of yatra is to create awareness among masses regarding food safety and encourage food business to provide healthy food.”

Sangha said that inspections were also being conducted at food businesses to create awareness.
