Students present scientific ideas at dist-level science congress

The District-level Punjab Children Science Congress was held at Sri Ram Ashram Public School on Monday.

The event was organised by the Vigyan Parishad Panchnad and Lok Kalyan Samiti. As many as 18 teams participated in the event.

A total of eight teams (four junior and four senior) were selected for the state-level event in Chandigarh. Students from different schools presented their scientific ideas on the theme of CSC-2018.

Dr Arvind C Ranade, scientist from Vigyan Prasar, was present on the occasion. President of Vigyan Parishad Panchnad (VPP) Dr Adrash Pal from Guru Nanak Dev University encouraged students and informed them about projects, model, charts related to problems of our society in present scenario.

The theme of this year, Punjab Children Science Congress is science technology and innovation for a clean, green and healthy nation. Manjit, Pankaj Sharma, Viney Sharma and Raman Chohan were among the prominent present.
