Soni, Aujla meet councillors to draw strategy for LS polls

AMRITSAR: Education Minister Om Parkash Soni along with Congress candidate from the Amritsar Lok Sabha seat Gurjeet Singh Aujla chaired a meeting of the councillors of his constituency here on Tuesday to mobilise workers and convince people to vote in favour of the party.

Education Minister Om Parkash Soni along with Congress candidate from the Amritsar Lok Sabha seat Gurjeet Singh Aujla chaired a meeting of the councillors of his constituency here on Tuesday to mobilise workers and convince people to vote in favour of the party.

Soni, while addressing the councillors and local Congress leaders, said that the lopsided policies of the Central Government had derailed the economy of the nation. He added Aujla is the right person to represent Amritsar as he had been raising the issues of the youth of this border district in Parliament.

Councillors Vikas Soni, Surinder Kumar Shinda, Deputy Mayor Yunus, Iqbal Singh Sherry, Sunil Kumar and Arun Kumar Pappal attended the meeting.
