The Bhavan’s SL Public School organised a mass marriage ceremony on its premises in which seven couples tied the nuptial knot on Sunday. It was the 10th such ceremony this year.

It was organised in association with students, parents and social workers of the city.

IR Khandwala, honorary treasurer, Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai, MLA Sunil Dutti, Congress MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla’s mother Jagir Kaur, and Swaraj Grover, a philanthropist, were the special guests.

Chairman Avinash Mahendru intimated them about this social cause. He added that while conducting the ceremony of marriages the customs, traditions and religion were given due respect and consideration. Gift items worth Rs 25,000 each were given to the newly-wedded couple. Students also presented various cultural items on the occasion.
