A national seminar on Genes, Genetics and epigenomics was organised at the Guru Nanak Bhawan Auditorium of Guru Nanak Dev University.

Organised by the Department of Human Genetics and sponsored by UGC-SAP, UGC-CPEPA, DST-PURSE, the seminar witnessed presence of large number of students and faculty members.

Dr Kamaljeet Singh, Dean Academic Affairs presided over the occasion. Professor Dr B K Thelma of department of genetics south campus, Delhi University presented the keynote address. Dr Gursatej Gandhi, head of the department & deputy coordinator welcomed the chief guest and others dignitaries. Coordinator Vasudha Sambyal gave introduction of the seminar and speakers. Experts presented their views on various genetic variations on health and diseases.
