Road mishap victim dies

AMRITSAR: Surinder Singh (35), a resident of Mari Udhoke village, 45 km from here, who was injured in a road accident near Darajke village around 10 days ago, succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

Surinder Singh (35), a resident of Mari Udhoke village, 45 km from here, who was injured in a road accident near Darajke village around 10 days ago, succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

The Bhikhiwind police have registered a case under Sections 304-A and 279 of the Indian Penal Code against the driver of an unidentified vehicle.

The police said the deceased, Surinder Singh, was going to his village on his motorcycle when he was hit by a vehicle.

He was admitted to Guru Ram Das Hospital, Amritsar, where he succumbed to his injuries.
