AMRITSAR: The local railway station has found its place in the five railway stations in the country, which will be developed into world-class facilities.

The local railway station has found its place in the five railway stations in the country, which will be developed into world-class facilities. The information was given by Rajya Sabha member Shwait Malik, who claimed that he had received an official confirmation to this effect from Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu.

Malik said, according to the proposal, Amritsar railway station would get designated platforms, state-of-the-art food courts, shopping centres and parking areas. He said with the city getting a better railway station, the number of tourists coming to the city would increase, which would be a boon for the economy of the city.
