TARN TARAN: The police have registered a case under Section 3 of the Punjab Prevention of Defacement Property Act, 1987, against an unidentified person for pasting stickers on electric poles and boxes in favour of Congress candidate from the Khadoor Sahib parliamentary constituency Jasbir Singh Dimpa.

The police have registered a case under Section 3 of the Punjab Prevention of Defacement Property Act, 1987, against an unidentified person for pasting stickers on electric poles and boxes in favour of Congress candidate from the Khadoor Sahib parliamentary constituency Jasbir Singh Dimpa.

A news item in this regard had appeared in these columns on April 14.

The administration has taken a serious note of the poll code violation.

Stickers were seen pasted on electric poles and boxes on the Khalsapur road. Later, the stickers were removed by Powercom officials after the news published.

The police said the case had been registered on the statement of a Senior Executive Engineer of Powercom against an unidentified person.
