Pensioners for release of pending allowances

The Pensioners’ Association met School Education Minister OP Soni and submitted a memorandum on Saturday. Pensioners of Punjab State Transmission Corporation Ltd (Transco) reached the residence of the minister and shared their problems.They have been demanding release of their allowances. The retired pensioners of Powercom must be charged for their electricity consumption as per the schemes of other states, they say. Their other demands include reintroduction of the cashless scheme and release of their medical allowances.
