One booked for raping 26-year-old

The Sadar police have booked a resident of Kudi village for allegedly raping a woman. He has been identified as Kipan Singh. The police said the case was registered on the complaint of the 26-year-old woman.

She alleged that the accused established physical relations with her with a marriage promise three years ago but now refused to marry her. The case under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered after the DSP (Security) conducted an initial investigation. The accused is absconding.
