One booked for killing woman

A woman was found murdered in Saidpur Khurd village here on Wednesday.  The police have booked Binda Singh, a youth of Chak Dogra village, in this connection. The accused was yet to be arrested. 

Pritam Singh, father of the deceased, said his daughter was married to Rajan of Ballarwal village. He said around one-and-a-half-month ago, the accused kidnapped and took her to undisclosed place. Pritam said his family looked for her but failed to find her. 

Pritam said yesterday he along with Kunan Singh of Saidpur Khurd village were returning home from Hashampur village, he found the body of his daughter on the roadside. He said there were injury marks on her body which indicated that she was brutally thrashed due to which she died. The police have registered a case against Binda Singh after initial probe. The body was handed over to family members after the post-mortem examination.
