AAP workers held a protest against the high power tariff being charged from the consumers in the state on Monday. They burnt effigies of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and former Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal.

They demanded cancellation of agreements with private companies arrived at during the previous government. AAP leaders Ashok Talwar and Rajinder Pallah said Punjabis were being made to pay exorbitantly for power consumption which was the highest in the country. They said their government in Delhi was offering power at much less rate.
