AMRITSAR: Passengers will be inconvenienced as the railway department has cancelled the run of 14650 Amritsar-Jaynagar Saryu Yamuna Express train on May 22 and the 14649 Jaynagar-Amritsar Saryu Yamuna Express train on May 24. Jaynagar is a district in Bihar. Railway officials stated that due to operational reasons, the scheduled run of trains was called off. TNS

Woman killed in accident 

Amritsar: A women who met with an accident on Sunday died while undergoing treatment at a local hospital here on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Rani (60), a resident of Fateh Singh Colony Gate Hakiman. Ashok Kumar, husband of the victim, said on May 19 a car hit their scooter on Attari Road.  Rani, who was riding pillion fell down and suffered serious injuries. She was rushed to the Dukh Niwaran Hospital but died on Tuesday during treatment. The accused fled the spot while leaving his vehicle behind. The driver has been identified as Kishan Singh, a resident of Boewali.  The police have seized the car.  A case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code. TNS
