Congress, BJP candidates on rally spree

AMRITSAR: Congress candidate Gurjeet Singh Aujla, seeking re-election from the Amritsar Lok Sabha seat, on Wednesday visited different localities to interact with people.

Congress candidate Gurjeet Singh Aujla, seeking re-election from the Amritsar Lok Sabha seat, on Wednesday visited different localities to interact with people. Similarly, Hardeep Singh Puri continued with his rally spree to seek support from people.

Aujla visited focal point industrial area and listened to the problems being faced by the industrialists. Later, he visited the famous wholesale and retail cloth markets of Tahli Sahib, Katra Jai Mal Sigh and its surrounding areas.

Addressing industrialists and shopkeepers, he said, “Narendra Modi government broke the neck of middle-level shopkeepers and MSME industrialists with its policies. The government favoured a couple of industrial houses at the cost of the rest of industries.”

Addressing the natives of Nagkalan village, he said the communal policies of the NDA Government alienated the minorities and instilled a sense of fear among them.

BJP candidate Hardeep Singh Puri visited various area of the district as part of his canvassing. He promised to bolster the physical infrastructure of the city to take it to new heights.
