Amritsar, May 3

Rail passengers were a harried lot as Howrah Mail was cancelled on Friday. It will off track on May 5 as well.

Local businessman Rohit Malhotra said cancelling a major train that covers significant business centres of Kanpur, Varanasi and Kolkatta served a rude shock to traders. He said the owners of the city-based manufacturing units, dealing in textile and gold business, frequently travel by this train.

Similarly, migrants also prefer to travel by this train. Cancellation of the train is likely to increase the rush of passengers on other trains.
