Amritsar, April 3

A motorcycle rally was held under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation ( SVEEP) programme here on Wednesday. The aim was to create awareness among the voters. Anganwari workers, helpers, along with city residents, took part in it. The rally started from Fatahpur village.

Participants carried banners, bearing slogans, to inspire voters to exercise their franchise. They conveyed them to collect information of their votes and booths by calling on toll free number 1950.

They informed people that as per the directions of the Election Commission of India, special arrangements, like ramps and potable water, had been made for physically-challenged people. — TNS
