MP gives ~1 lakh to granthi’s kin

SAD Lok Sabha MP Ranjit Singh Brahmpura gave a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to the family of Granthi Dilbag Singh, who was shot dead by armed men of wine contractors, about one-and-a-half month back. The cheque was released by the SGPC in a religious congregation held in his memory at Benwalipur village on Monday.

Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, while addressing the gathering, wondered how come none of the accused had been arrested though a case under Section 302 of the IPC and 25, 27, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act had been registered against them.

Ravinder Singh Brahampura, former MLA, Khadur Sahib, among others addressed the gathering on the occasion.
