Mid-day meal checked

Kiranpreet Kaur, member, Punjab Food Commission, on Tuesday inspected schools and anganwadi kendras.

She checked the quality of food given to students under midday meal at government schools as well meal provided at anganwadi kendras.

A meeting was also held with district authorities. Additional Deputy Commissioner Ravinder Singh, DEO Salwinder Singh, DEO (Elementary) Sunita Kiran, were among officials of district administration present on the occasion.

She visited government schools, checked the meals served, kitchen utensils, and took a tab of Atta Dal Scheme. She stressed on the quality of food to be maintained for kids and cleanliness must be ensured.
