Meeting on child labour held

Amritsar: Dr Ashok Sahu, special thematic rapporteur from National Human Rights Commission, on Thursday addressed officials at a meeting on maintaining records of migrant workers for identifying the number of children involved in child labour. Six booked for hooliganism

Tarn Taran: Aix students of Sri Guru Arjun Dev Government College have been booked for indulging in a brawl. ASI Naresh Kumar, Investigating Officer (IO), said three of the accused had been identified as Aman Lahoria, his aides Ginder and Roopa, while three others were yet to be identified. They allegedly attacked Lovepreet Singh, a student of BA final year, outside the college. OC

Probe for incorrect marking

Amritsar: Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) has marked a probe in connection with incorrect grade marking of students of University Business School. The probe has been initiated after allegations were levelled against a teacher for changing of students’ grades.  TNS
