Marathon on Mar 31

The Sports Department under Mission Tandrust Punjab will hold a show marathon here on March 31. Additional Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Aggarwal held a meeting to take stock of arrangements in this regard.

He said the Sports Department, in association with Daily World Communication Private Limited, would hold the marathon.

He said the marathon would be held in boys and girls categories — 5 km and 10 km. Besides, there will be separate events for the veterans. Winners will get prizes and participants will be offered T-shirts, medals, trophies and certificates.

The organisers are hopeful of a sound participation.

Komal Mittal, CEO, Amritsar Smart City Limited; Alka Kalia, Additional Commissioner (Grievances); Sartaj Singh Chahal, ADCP (Headquarters); Shivraj Singh Bal, SDM Amritsar-I; Pallavi Chaudhary, SDM Majitha among others were present.
