AMRITSAR: In yet another robbery incident, two unidentified persons robbed Rs 81,000 from Ram Sahni, a resident of Vishal Vihar near the Sundar Nagar area here late last evening.

In yet another robbery incident, two unidentified persons robbed Rs 81,000 from Ram Sahni, a resident of Vishal Vihar near the Sundar Nagar area here late last evening.

Sahni, who does embroidery, had collected the money for procuring an embroidery machine. He was returning home on his scooter and reached near Chawla colony when two motorcycle-borne persons intercepted him. Before he could understand, the two accused pulled out a sharp-edged weapon and threatened to kill him. They snatched his money and mobile phone besides other valuables from him and fled the scene.

The Sadar police have registered a case under Sections 379-B, 341 and 34, IPC, in this connection. Gurbhej Singh, investigating officer, said the entire incident was recorded on a CCTV camera. However, due to the poor quality of the footage, the accused were yet to be arrested.
