Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd (PSPCL) installed a set of electricity meter boxes in front of the main gate of a house at Chatiwind Road.

The house owner has been running from pillar to post to get the boxes shifted but to no avail. Jasbir Singh, a resident of 100 Foot Road, has been fighting against the PSPCL’s move for the last four years.

Jasbir Singh said: “In my absence, PSPCL officials installed a meter box with 20 electricity meters in front of the main gate. I went to the office of the SDO but none listened to my grievance,” he added.

Jasbir wrote to the Managing Director of the PSPCL in 2015 but received no response till date. He said more than 150 mails had been sent to the Chief Minster and PSPCL officials.

“I have been visiting SDO’s office and chief engineer’s office in routine to get the box shifted away from my home. Officials have been asking me to pay fee for getting the work done. Why should I pay for their mistake,” said Jasbir Singh.

Chief Engineer, PSPCL (border zone), said: “The matter is in my notice. It will be sorted out soon.”
