A collection of artist Kulwant Singh Gill’s paintings was displayed at an art gallery by the Indian Academy of Fine Arts. The celebrated artist, who is famous for his portraits and landscapes, has put up a collection of his best works for three days.

Interacting with art lovers at the exhibition, Gill said portraits could reflect different moods and aspects of human emotions and psyche. “They are one of the best ways to express feelings. For some, they are family treasures; for others, a mere reflection of their self. This genre is one of the oldest and most relative of our time.”

An accomplished artist, he has received a gold medal in his Masters of Art History from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, and Masters of Fine Arts from Panjab University, Chandigarh. He has intertwined his love for Sikhism and culture with his art. The unquestionable strength of his technical skills is most notable in his work which includes oil and portrait paintings.

Gill is also a master of figurative art and says there is no limit to creativity.
