KCPS holds investiture

To inculcate a sense of belonging and responsibility among students, an Investiture Ceremony was organised at Khalsa College Public School (KCPS), here on Wednesday. More than 200 students, along with their parents, participated in the programme and took the pledge to work for the welfare and betterment of the schools as prefects and captains of various responsibilities given.

Pardeep Singh and Ramandeep Kaur, both Class XI students, were chosen as head boy and head girl of the school respectively. Khalsa College Governing Council secretary Rajinder Chhina, who was chief guest at the function, said we need to develop responsible citizens and schools are the platforms where the students learn to obey discipline and follow rules.

Principal AS Gill welcomed Chhina and KCGC joint secretary (schools) Harminder Singh Freedom. A colourful programme of music and dance was presented by the students followed by shabad and the oath taking by the councillor, Harminder Singh and Principal Gill also motivated the students to adopt discipline in life.
