A maiden HR conclave on the IIM Amritsar campus saw participation of industry majors, who shared more than just tips on becoming successful future entrepreneurs. Students got firsthand account of latest industry trends, corporate work culture and HR management as an influencer of growth in several leading sectors.

The theme of the conclave was “Contemporary HR: Fostering organisational creativity and innovation”. Eminent entrepreneurs from various industries came together to discuss the role of human resource management as the driving force to fuel the need for innovation and creativity.

The chief guest on the occasion was Vinay Kumar, CEO, Datawise. The welcome address was delivered by Prof Surya Prakash Pati, IIM Kozhikode. After the address, the first newsletter of Stratagem – a strategy and consulting club of the IIM Amritsar was unveiled.

The panel discussion held at the conclave had two important sessions. The first panel included Adil Nargolwal, senior general manager - HR, WNS (a global business solution provider), Vandana Sharma, chief people officer, HolidayHQ and Ajay Bhatia, VP, corporate & global HR head, Innodata Inc.

The post-lunch session witnessed speakers Ranjish Datta, Manmohan Bhutan, and Winston deRasario hold discussion on challenges in prompting innovation and creativity in employees.
