The district administration on Monday extended the ban on the sale and use of hookah at bars, hotels and restaurants till March 11. Deputy Commissioner Kamaldeep Singh Sangha said that no bar or hotel could be allowed to serve hookahs as it affected teenagers who ultimately became addicted to tobacco. Health officials stated an FIR under Section 144 of the CrPC would be registered for violations. — TNS
