Health Dept asks for swine flu testing kits

Amritsar, December 6

The district Health Department has written to higher authorities for the delivery of swine flu testing kits before the onset of the season. The officials said they have sent a demand for the testing kits. 

The swine flu lab at Government Medical College here had become operational around two years ago. Earlier, the samples were sent to a private lab at Delhi or to the PGI Chandigarh for testing. 

The facility at the medical college is a boon for the patients as it helps in making the reports available within a short period of time. — TNS
