Amritsar, December 10

With an aim to highlight the women power, the star cast of the upcoming Punjabi movie Hard Kaur was in the city today to promote the flick. The film has Sikh girls from five different cities of Punjab, who go through hardships and struggle but in the end win over the obstacles by uniting with each other, they said.

‘Hard Kaur’ is directed by Ajit R Rajpal with Drishtii Grewal, Deana Uppal, Nirmal Rishi, Neet Kaur, Swati Bakshi, Chetainnya Kanhai, Tanvisr Singh and Shashi Kiran in key roles.

The movie is made under the banner of Delhiwood Studios Pvt Ltd and produced by Rakesh Chaudhary, Suresh Chaudhary and Wasim Pasha. The movie will hit the screens on December 15.

While addressing mediapersons, Ajit R Rajpal said, “Hard Kaur is one of its kind in the Punjabi cinema which shall showcase the women empowerment at its best. Feminism isn’t about making women strong. Women are already strong. It’s about changing the way the world perceives that strength.”

The story is about a Sikh girl, a schoolteacher from Patiala. She meets a rich boy from Haryana and her life changes when she sees a crime in the bus she boards daily. She is helped by other Sikh girls.

Chaitannya Kanhai, playing the lead actor, said, “I am super happy to be a part of this movie and I am sure this movie will be loved by audience,”

Nachattar Gill, Prabh Gill, Nooran Sisters and Aman Trikha have lent their voices for the songs in the movie.
