Gangster Saraj Mintoo’s accomplices arrested

AMRITSAR: The district rural police arrested two accomplices of gangster Saraj Singh Mintoo, the prime accused in the killing of Hindu Sangharsh Sena leader Vipin Sharma, from Mohali today.

The district rural police arrested two accomplices of gangster Saraj Singh Mintoo, the prime accused in the killing of Hindu Sangharsh Sena leader Vipin Sharma, from Mohali today. The accused have been identified as Sukhwinder Singh alias Raju, a resident of Ranje di Haveli, and Sukhdev Singh alias Mantu, a resident of Bala Chak village, Tarn Taran.

Intelligence teams of the rural police have been conducting raids to arrest gangsters Saraj Mintoo, Subham Singh and Goli. The police got a tip-off that the gangsters were hidden in Mohali. Police officials claimed that Sukhwinder Singh and Sukhdev Singh were associated with Mintoo’ gang. Now, the police officials are expecting that they will get some clue to arrest Saraj and Subham.

Senior cops claimed that these accused, who had been arrested, were not involved in the killing of Sharma, but they were closely associated with Saraj and Subham. The police can trace the location of gangsters with the help of arrested miscreants. Parampal Singh, SSP, rural police, stated that they will get the police remand of gangsters and investigate the matter. The police is hopeful that they will trace Saraj and Subham.

According to information, the arrested accused, Sukhwinder and Sukhdev, had robbed a truck loaded with paddy on the Tarn Taran road on November 6. They posed as sales tax officials and installed a checkpoint to rob the truck. The truck was recovered from Tarn Taran the next day, but the paddy bags were missing. The police had investigated the matter and identified the accused.

Meanwhile, the rural police got information that Saraj Mintoo is also with the accused. The police conducted raids at Mohali and arrested them. The police also recovered the paddy bags. Saraj Mintoo is still missing.
