Gangster in five-day police custody

AMRITSAR: The police produced gangster Bobby Malhotra in a local court to get him on five-day remand in connection with councillor Gurdeep Pehalwan murder case on Wednesday.

The police produced gangster Bobby Malhotra in a local court to get him on five-day remand in connection with councillor Gurdeep Pehalwan murder case on Wednesday. Malhotra was lodged in the Bathinda jail from where the city police brought him on production warrant for investigation.

Bobby is an accused in murder of councillor Ginda, who was murdered on November 8, 2016.

The police suspect his role in the murder of councillor Gurdeep Singh Pehlwan.

Earlier, the police had got production warrant of two gangsters Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and Sonu Kangla in the same case. The five-day remand of Jaggu and Sonu would end on Thursday.—TNS
