Fake videos and news about the tampering, shifting and ferrying of the EVM machines, on social media, has been creating nuisance for the administration. Under the influence of fake propaganda against the EVMs and VVPAT, rumours of tampering in the strong rooms have been doing the rounds. In a video being made viral on social media, an American journalist, of TNN (Tricolor News Network) website has claimed uncensored, authentic and genuine information about EVM fraud.

The video showed how the BJP was 'conspiring' to change the EVMs placed in strong rooms to win the elections. Though the police and security forces claimed a fool proof security around the strong rooms but the videos and chat being received through mobile apps and social media influenced many, who visited the strong rooms to check the security arrangements. Even Aam Adami Party candidate, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal visited the strong room at Khalsa College to check the security arrangements. "We are satisfied with the arrangements but Narendra Modi and Amit Shah can go to any length to win the elections. So we are worried," said Dhaliwal.

While Bhupinder Singh, DCP (Law and order) claimed that Paramilitary jawans, Armed police force and local police have been deployed around the strong rooms. Even the strong rooms are under electronic surveillance. So there is no possibility of tampering of any sort.
