The estate wing of the Municipal Corporation removed 10 kiosks and other encroachments at Mustafabad and Batala Road area here yesterday. The encroachments were also removed at the City Centre area where small kiosks had been installed.

MC Estate Officer Sushant Bhatia said, “As per the directions of Mayor Karamjit Singh Rintu and Commissioner Komal Mittal, we have conducted an anti-encroachment drive on the left side of Batala Road till Mustafabaa. Around 10 kiosks and several vends have been removed.”

MC employees warned sellers of building material to keep their material in godowns. Anything lying on roads would be seized.
