Eatery manager robbed of Rs 81K

AMRITSAR: Ranjit Singh, manager of Subway, a food restaurant franchise, was robbed of Rs 81,000 by armed persons near the Meharbanpura village bus stop late on Sunday evening.

Ranjit Singh, manager of Subway, a food restaurant franchise, was robbed of Rs 81,000 by armed persons near the Meharbanpura village bus stop late on Sunday evening.

The victim stated to the police that he was locking the store when two men attacked him with iron rods. They snatched his bag containing Rs 81,000 and ran away.

Harsandeep Singh, SHO, Jandiala police station, said there was no progress in the case but investigation was under way.The police have registered a case under Section 379-B of the IPC.
