Amritsar, March 15

IndiGo is all set to launch Delhi-Amritsar-Delhi and Mumbai-Amritsar-Mumbai flights from tomorrow (March 16).

Introduction of many domestic and international flights in the past some months have revived the fortunes of the Amritsar airport, which boosted the aviation and allied trades in the holy city. IndiGo will operate a daily non-stop flight between Amritsar and Delhi and Amritsar and Mumbai circuits.

The airline aims to cater to both corporate and leisure customers travelling from Amritsar. It has also inducted two brand new Airbus A320 NEO aircraft into its existing fleet this month under its expansion plan.

The national carrier, Air India and Jet Airways, operate three flights each daily. Besides, SpiceJet is flying two flights daily on the route. While Vistara airline launched flights on the Delhi-Amritsar and Mumbai-Amritsar circuits recently.
