Dal Khalsa held protest to mark the 69the World Human Rights Day in Gurdaspur today. People held photographs of their near and dear ones, who lost their lives during the militancy era.
Party head, Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema said, “It is distressing that no international report of rights groups and NGOs has made any dent in the wilfully negligent and pro-actively tortuous ways of the Punjab police.” He flayed the Central Government for cold-shouldering the outcry of British parliamentarians over detention of British nationals Jagtar Singh Johal and Jimmy.
Party general secretary Paramjit Singh flayed the state government for its plans to introduce PCOCA for tackling the organised crimes by gangsters.
