Cops to analyse CCTV footage to nail Rs 4-lakh robbery culprits

The police have recovered a scooter which, along with Rs 4 lakh cash, was snatched from two finance firm employees, in Ranjit Avenue area on Friday. 

The scooter was found abandoned near a Sikh shrine at A Block of Ranjit Avenue. The police have also got the CCTV of the suspects. DCP Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar said the police nab the accused soon. 

On Friday, four armed robbers allegedly looted Rs 4 lakh from Deepak Kumar and Sunil Kumar. The incident occurred at Ranjit Avenue B Block in broad daylight on Friday.

Victims stated to the police that their firm collected cash from big trading houses and showrooms and later deposited it to the bank. They collected Rs 4 lakh from a showroom at Trillium Shopping Mall and from a hotel and were on way to deposit it. 

On reaching B Block, Ranjit Avenue, they were stopped by four robbers, who were travelling on two bikes, Deepak said.
