Budding gymnasts bag medals

Budding gymnasts from Spring Dale Senior School have bagged gold medals in various district-level events in the city.

Principal Rajiv Kumar Sharma said, “The Under-14 girls' team comprising Gursirat Kaur, Kulnoor Kaur, Diya Ahuja and Mannat Singh secured the first position in the School District Gymnastics Tournament held at Bhavan's SL Public School, Amritsar.” They bagged four gold medals (one each).

Namya Kamboj, Anakhpriya Kaur Dhillon, and Gurleen Kaur, members of the Under-19 girls gymnastics team too stood first. "They won three gold medals. The event witnessed the participation of 425 gymnasts from different schools in the district," he said.

The school’s Under-14 girls gymnastics team stood first position in the gymnastics tournament organised by the Punjab Sports Department at BBKDAV College, Amritsar.
